Mr. Denis L’Anglais

Denis L’Anglais is a lawyer in immigration law, private and public international law, human rights law and municipal law.
He graduated from the University of Laval in 1974 with a law degree. He also studied at the Institute of Political Science in Paris and has been a member of the Quebec Bar since 1995.

While he was Senior executive at the Quebec Ministry of International Relations, he was posted abroad as a Delegate for Quebec in Argentina from 1999 to 2003.

Alternately, he was Director of Finance and Administration of the Institute of Energy and of the French-speaking countries (IEPF), Immigration Commissioner of Quebec City. He also helped set up the Bastarache Commission before joining the law firm of Mr. Hugues Langlais as the lawyer in charge of the Quebec City office.

He also acted as coordinator for the revision of the Spanish version of the Quebec Civil Code, published by Wilson & Lafleur in 2008. He is now a lecturer at the University of Laval and leads workshops in Immigration law at the Quebec Bar Law School.
He speaks French, English, German, Spanish Portuguese and Italian.
